We officially left the Terrible Twos behind today, hopefully to welcome the Terrific Threes! We celebrated Molly's birthday all day, starting with flowers, a balloon and a new toy train at breakfast and cake tonight with our church small group. Molly has told people she turned "30 and a half" today, greatly speeding up the aging process.
You'll notice the inappropriate fish cake, considering the recent fish death at our house and its perpetrator. Molly has told me for months that the only thing she wanted for her birthday was a cake that looked like Dory from the Nemo movie, so I obliged despite her role in the unfortunate demise of our Nemo and Marlin.
We thought giving Molly the birthday Thomas the Tank Engine set was a great idea, but then Josh wanted to play with it too (not like we have 50 other Thomas trains) and all sorts of conflict broke out. Josh got a big lesson in respecting the birthday girl today!
Here are some other pictures from today:
Here are Molly and Josh with their friends Danielle and Jordan before we ate birthday cake tonight.
And just for fun, here's a photo from the weekend of Molly and the cats. The look on Homer's face sums up the cats' feelings for Molly's affections.

Hard to believe she's already 3! Wow. That's a cute birthday outfit! If you need some extra cash to pay for her train habit, you could always hire her out as a model :-)
